What it's like to work together

How it works

1. Connect & Book

You found my work and you are interested in booking, I'm so excited to chat! Visit my website or booking link on social media to submit a booking request. In a week or less I will reply to your request asking for all the details about your vision, availability, and get to know you a bit! I'll send you a  link to your client portal where you'll find payment information, a questioner so we can get to know each other beet and I can hear a little more about you, and a contract to sign. Once you've paid the depsot and signed the contract we are officially booked!

2. Plan & Prepare

Now that I know a little more about you and your vision we can plan a location, talk outfits, send Pinterest boards, all of that good stuff!

3. Capture & Deliver

When you arrive at the session we can finally meet each other in person! We will chat a bit while we get to our shooting spot and get comfortable, then the magic happens. I will provide posing help but I want to really capture candid moments of you and your loved ones. I might tell you to play tag with your kiddos, or cuddle on a blanket together and tell each other your favorite things about one another. After our session I will send you a sneak peek of 5 photos so you don't have to wait the whole two weeks to see your new beautiful photos and can show them with family and friends immediately. I'll email or text you a link to your client portal where you can download your gallery.

I hope that you'll leave me a review and recommend me to friends and family so that they can get beautiful photos taken too!

A Different Approach to Family Photos

As a Montessori teacher I incorporate that deeply into my photography. I give children the lead when it comes to our sessions. I do this for two reasons. As we know, it can be hard to make children sit still and be happy in photos. By respecting and listening to what the child wants to do, we are compromising with them and showing them that their opinion matters and it also helps keep them regulated. I usually will give a two choice question, "would you like to sit or stand for this one?"  The second reason is that when you look back, the moments you take of your kids that bring you the most joy and happiness are where they are interacting with you and the world. I think those photos are much more special than posed photos. But that doesn't mean I don't like posed photos. They also have a place in my sessions and theres nothing wrong with a lovely picture of your family all smiling and looking at the camera! I always start the session with posed photos when children have the most tolerance to listen to directions. What sets me apart from other photographers is that I know child development and why children don’t like photos. I have changed the way I do things to make it a fun, non-stressful experience for everyone, even your littles.

FAQ

How do we book a photo session with you?

Visit my website or booking link on social media to submit a booking request. In a week or less I will reply to your request asking for all the details about your vision, availability, and get to know you a bit!

What should we wear for our session?

I always recommend something comfortable, you feel confident in, and that is a neutral or earthy color. The style of my photos not only relies on me, but on the color of clothes. Neutral and earthy colors blend well with my editing and help deliver that natural, cozy look.

How long does it take to get our photos?

Within a couple of days I will send you a link top your gallery with 5 or so sneak peek photos so you can start sharing and admiring them ASAP! After two weeks your photos will be done and I will upload the rest into the same gallery.

Can I order prints or albums through you?

I unfortunately do not offer printing and albums right now. But I do have a Polaroid add on for $50 to any session so that you have something tangible to take home with you and enjoy right away.
